    Converting to modern power steering is usually a straightforward task but some GM vehicles, like the Tri-Fives and early Novas, used a one piece steering shaft that was part of the steering box. When replacing the original unit with one of our power steering boxes, the original steering shaft must be cut down and modified, which is not a fun job. These inner steering shafts will replace your original shaft on your 55-57 Chevy and make your power steering swap easier!
