This kit is a must when using original-style or stock replacement shocks with your first gen Camaro or Firebird. The rear upper shock mount plate mounts in the forward trunk area of the car and mounts the upper shock rod to the shock tower. Over time, stress and fatigue can damage the factory mount and this kit will reinforce your factory shock mount area and repair the mounting hole if its been damaged.
