1971 Plymouth Duster & Twister original vintage advertisement.
DESCRIPTION:
The quickest (Duster 340). And the newest. (Duster Twister).
Aha! Could it be Plymouth has now come through with not one, but two Duster Supercars?
Well, not really.
It’s just that we've come to the conclusion that the most appropriate way to show off our newest Duster (the Twister) is to show it sitting next to our quickest Duster (the 340).
To look at it, you'd never know that beneath Twister's sleek fastback shell lies one of our 198, 225 or 318 cubic inch engines. The ones that are looked upon with favor by insurance companies, are easy to take care of and don’t drink much gas.
Every Twister comes with the unique Duster 340 grille.
It has bias-belted tires and 5½" Rallye wheels without trim rings.
And we’ve added racing mirrors, flat black hood performance paint, strobe stripes, side stripes, lower deck stripes and optional hood scoops.
Combine all this with torsion-bar suspension (for good handling), solid unibody construction, room for five and an incredibly low price... and what more could you want?
