Description
This very rare Singer sewing machine with a serial number 6380784 dates to 1884. The machine also called the high arm followed the earlier Singer model 12 transverse shuttle sewing machine with new technology. It was the first iteration of the vibrating long bobbin sewing machine models in the Singer line. Referred to as the VS1 it's discerning features unlike the New Family model 12 is Singer's first attempt at a vibrating shuttle for household use rather than the earlier transverse shuttle. Also called the High Arm it is has more room under the harp both in length and width. Unlike the later VS machine's like the VS2, VS3, and 27 etc., it has the stitch adjuster on the bed of the machine and the the thread tension on the end face plate, a very simple winder resembling the NF machine's. This machine has been basically cleaned and oiled and stitch tested. It comes with it's original iron treadle base, top board, metal dust catcher, set of three drawers in a solid side drawer hanger, it's coffin top cover, and a small set of original attachment's. This machine has decent japanning, most of it's chrome, and some but nowhere near all of it's original decals. The decal set (actually hand painted and guilded) is called Floral. I will also be soon listing a Rose pattern model. These treadles when shipped are disassembled, padded and ship in multiple boxes. Pickup is an option. I have shipped many various treadles over the last 20 years. Shipping: Carrier most likely UPS will be carrier of my choice and fully insured. Due to the long time required for packing, no rush shipping is available. International shipping off continent might be possible but please contact me. Some countries will allow these as imports, and some won't. t is up to the buyer to parse their countries import regulation's.Antique Singer VS1 Fiddle Base Treadle Sewing Machine 1884 Floral

I accept paypal. Payment is due within three days. I will on occasion accept other forms of payment, but you must contact me first for pre-approval. If payment is not received within five days, I reserve the right to re-list the item and file a Non-Paying Bidder Report with e-Bay so if you have issues pleasefeel free to contact me.
Shipping
Shipping: occurs usually 1-7 days after payment is received and cleared. For very large shippments and multi box it can be up to 6 days. I ship most items through the US postal service or Fed-ex domestically. For more delicate items I prefer to ship Fed-ex. I charge actual shipping, plus a small Auctiva insurance fee. I only charge for packing materials for large or very delicate items as stated in listings.
International Shipping: I do ship most items internationally. I will ship items with a boxed weight of less than 4 lbs. and 64 combined inches USPS First Class International to countries where allowed. For heavier or larger package I will offer USPS Priority or Global up to their maximum size and weight.
Buyers are responsible for all import fees, tariffs, Taxes ETC. as I cannot see them or include them at my end.
For insurance claims ALL PACKING MATERIALS and the items shipped MUST BE RETAINED AND PHOTOGRAPHED, to file a claim, so in order to receive a reimbursement for shipping damages I also require packing materials and boxes be retained. Occasionally the insurance company will reclaim the entire item.

I describe the items to the best of my knowledge. Contact me if you have any problem with an order you receive before leaving feedback. I strive for %100 feedback rating and try to quickly resolve any issues as they arise. I do insure virtually all packages.
If you decide to leave negative feedback before contacting me or opening a case, I will have less options in helping you as per eBay protocol. I reserve the right to cancel bids from bidders with private or negative feedback.
