    Description

Antique Wheeler & Wilson Treadle Cabinet No. 9 Sewing Machine, c. 1890
This gorgeous cabinet and treadle sewing machine was manufactured from quarter-sawn oak and cast iron by the Wheeler & Wilson Manufacturing Company.
It was produced sometime between 1880, when the patent was renewed, and 1900 when the patent expired.
This machine is completely functional and comes with the base, the cover, as well as a fly shuttle. The cover locks into the cabinet but is missing the back feet and there is no key to lock any of the three drawers. This item bears the serial number 2537003 and has "Wheeler & Wilson Bridgeport, CT" stamped into the cast iron of the base.
This machine possesses a dropleaf on the left hand side, closest to the needle. It also rests on the original four casters and moves easily. This piece is in excellent antique condition - it shows the typical nicks, scuffs, and lost veneer appropriate for an item of this age. This item is fully functional. Please consult images and message with any questions.
