c1960s Vintage, RARE Nikon REFLEX HOUSING Type 2 for the Nikon Rangefinder /RF System.
RARE BIRD! As far as I was able to investigate, only some 750 of these reflex housings were ever manufactured. Featuring the Serial No. 471558  with the 45° Angle Finder Serial No. 67497, this is a late set (c.1960?).
If you add to the rarity the fact that it is in pristine condition…
The item offered for sale is almost impossible to find.
Please note that this Reflex Housing is needed for some macro and telephoto lenses when paired with your Nikon S, S2, S3, S4 SP etc RF 35mm film camera body –In another of my listings, a RARE near mint in box Nikon NKK 1:2.5 f=18cm / 180mm f2.5 Type2 Telephoto Lens –equally rare as this housing- is being offered for sale.

Cosmetics:
Incredible find! This housing looks like it was minimally used, and I rate it to be in mint- condition. It comes with two remote cords, a shutter release extension and both caps, in the original intact blue box. Nothing else is included in this sale. Please note that the rear cap has a missing tab (one out of three) otherwise it is pristine.
Mechanics/Optics:
The housing operates fine in every sense and the glass looks overall perfect for me. Please note that I am anything but an expert in RF photo-equipment so please feel free to ask as mu¿any questions as needed and/or for extra pictures if necessary.
