Description
This auction is for a difficult-to-find metal canister for 828 film and a vintage metal 35 mm canister.828 film was released in 1935 with the Bantam camera (a small economic camera). The film was similar in size to 135 mm film but lacked the sprocket holes characteristic of the latter. The last camera built in the US to use 828 film was the Kodak Pony camera.
The canisters, both of which are embossed with the Kodak trademark on the can sides are described as follows:
The 828 canister is 11/16 inches high and 14/16" in diameter (can bottom). The lid on this can is flat and has and intact rubber seal on the inside. There are no perceptible scuffs, scratches, dents or missing paint on the lid. The can is in excellent condition with the exception of a barely visible scuff to the right of the embossed upper case K.
The 35 mm canister included in the auction has the standard height (2" - including lid) and diameter (1 3/16" - can base). The canister is also in excellent vintage condition with few, if any, detectable defects except for a minor amount of discoloration at the top of the can
threading (photos# 4 & 5). The internal rubber seal in the lid
displays some wear in form of thinning (also, photo # 4).
Please examine all of the photographs to best access he condition of the canisters.
