  • Condition: Comes in original box (has wear) with remote, power cord and paperwork, no AV cables. The unit has been tested and plays all the media types. The only thing I noticed was when playing a laserdisc the screen looked washed out. I’m not sure if the laser needs to be cleaned but it played with no skipping. It comes with 6 LD’S, they all play and work fine except Ransom which the second Disc has a crack and the ending is messed up, but some show minor to heavy artifacts on the screen. I got this system brand new in 1997 along with the movies. I heard LD’S are notorious for artifacts when they age, but the movies play normal otherwise.

    Description

Comes in original box (has wear) with remote, power cord, and paperwork, no AV cables. The unit has been tested and plays all the media types.  The only thing I noticed was when playing a laserdisc the screen looked washed out.  I’m not sure if the laser needs to be cleaned or it’s the LD, but it played with no skipping.  It comes with 6 LD’S, they all play and work fine except Ransom which the first and second Disc has a crack and the ending is messed up, but some show minor to heavy artifacts on the screen.  I got this system brand new in 1997 along with the movies.  I heard LD’S are notorious for artifacts when they age, but the movies play normal otherwise, except Ransom.  That movie plays fine until you get to the cracked parts of both discs which is at the end.  The unit itself works and functions as it should.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
