Description
This Singer Model 20 Sewing Machine was produced sometime between 1914 and 1922.It's black in color, made of steel and cast iron which gives it a nice weight.
The handwheel is the nickel-plated, spiral type, with 8 spokes, which is what helps me date the machine. All of the mechanical parts move freely and appears to work as designed (Pretty good for a hundred year old machine).
It s
ews a simple chain stitch, and is
very clean. I see no signs of rust at all. This machine was originally designed as a toy for little girls to make cloths for their dolls. It has none of the features of a modern electric, but if you're looking for a cute, working, antique display piece to put on a shelf; this one has that all sewn up (pun intended). I'm calling the overall physical condition "good" because the machine has obviously been used, but despite its age, is very well preserved. Please take a look at the pictures and judge the physical condition for yourself. Also included in the package is the rarely found original box; It's seen better days, but its stable, still suitable for display, and has some of the best advertising of the time period. I've done my best to conserve the box as is, without doing anything that can't be undone. The buyer will pay
a flat
.99 for shipping to any address in the USA. Careful packaging and fast shipping is always the standard. Once paid I will ship with the next day’s mail if not sooner. Please don’t hesitate to message me your questions, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
