SEWING MACHINE
***
This small SINGER sewing machine
is one of the many in the "24" series,
Singer made in the early 1900's.
It was belt driven and is built to
Singer's high standards.
From online research:
" For tucking. Positively driven power
tuck marker driven by link from
arm rock shaft.
Fitted with a special tuck marking attachment
for tucking aprons, dresses, infants' wear, etc.
Automatic tension. Speed 2500 spm "
It has a large worm drive gear, which,
I believe connected to a mechanism
which advanced the material being worked on
(not included).
As seen this machine has plenty of
surface wear, but I see no broken parts.
It still has it's Looper, which produces
a chain stitch, and has
it's original Large needle.
I cleaned it best I can, and
lubed it at appropriate points.
It turns very smoothly with
no "play" I can detect.
(Weighs about 13 pounds.)
Sewing machine measures approx. 11" Wide X 9" High
