Description:
Elevate your steam shower experience with color selectable LED lighting. Our lights have 7 different colours: Bright White, Aqua Blue, Soothing Violet, Ocean Blue, Majestic Gold, Shamrock Green and Fiery Red. Beyond that there is a “Chameleon Mode” which slowly morphs through the colors and a party mode which blinks and flashes through the various colors. See the product photos for a sampling of the fixed light colors.
While there are many lights capable of being used in a wet environment such as a shower, if your shower has a steam generator you need an appropriately rated steam shower lighting. Steam can easily damage or destroy wet rated lighting because they do not fully seal. Our lights are 100% steam proof and are
UL approved parts (#E-356261) and certified (#E89145)
. Finally, our lights are made in the USA with very high quality control standards, so they will work, every time.
Please note that you will need access above the finished ceiling of the steam room to install the steam light kit.
We recommend a 3 or 4 fixture kit for showers around 4ft x 6ft and a 5 fixture kit for showers around 6ft x 10ft. Each power supply can handle up to 7 lights daisy chained together. To use more than 7 lights in one shower, you would need another power supply and your lights would be controlled from a wall switch outside of the shower with would control the 100v power to the plug for the power supplies instead of using a waterproof switch inside the shower.
This is the perfect lighting kit for any tiled steam shower room, acrylic steam room or even a traditional shower without steam.
Each LED bulb has a brightness of approximately 110 lumens, 12 individual SMD LEDs and a rated lifespan of 50,000 hours. Pressing the wall switch changes the color mode and clicking the button turns the lights off or on.
Installation:
Each fixture is mounts through the ceiling/tile and can work with materials up to 1¾” thick. Simply drill a hole with a hole saw (tile, acrylic, etc.) through your finished surface and insert your fixture from inside the shower. Once the fixture is inserted, you will need access to the top side of the ceiling so that you can secure the lock nut and tighten everything up. Plug in your wiring harness to each fixture so that each bulb has power and is daisy chained to the next, connect to your power supply and then you won’t need access above the ceiling again. If you ever need to swap the bulb, we include a tool to open your steam shower light housing from inside the shower.
To install the waterproof wall button, drill a 1¼” hole through the shower wall with a hole saw (tile, acrylic, etc.). The wall button can be installed through materials with a maximum thickness of 1”, if your wall is thicker than 1” you will need to counterbore the backside to tighten down the nut to finish the install properly. Connect the wiring harness from the wall button to the power supply and then to the first light in your daisy chain. Now, as long as every harness is connected properly, you should be able to turn your steam shower lights on and off, and cycle through the various colors and modes.
For best results we recommend placing your lights within 12” of a side wall or corner, this allows the light to wash down the walls and appear brighter. Plug your lights in and hold them in place before drilling to ensure you are satisfied with the location.
