    Description

Stunning 1924 Singer 15 Gingerbread Tiffany Treadle Head Sewing Machine Fully Tested
This is a beautiful example of a fairly rare Singer Treadle sewing machine head. It is the beautiful model 115 with the gorgeous Gingerbread or Tiffany decal patterns. This machine is stunning. This machine has the 115 bobbin case, specific to this machine and takes 306 class bobbins.
This machine dates back to 1924 by serial number G0698018 and was made in the Elizabethport, New Jersey (USA) factory. It is beautiful to the eyes and runs spectacularly. Being a full rotary hook this machine runs incredibly smooth and sews a fantastic stitch. We threaded it up and sewed nice straight stitches as you can see in photo provided. It sews unbelievably steady and smooth, producing beautiful stitches. We tested all the functions which operate properly, the tensioner and stitch length knob function as expected, the slide plates slide very smoothly, and the bobbin winder operates perfectly.
Cosmetically, this machine is gorgeous. The Gingerbread / Tiffany decals are brilliant, bright and mostly intact. They are in remarkably great antique condition, holding their beautiful gold colour with typical usage wear and slight fading for a 100 year old machine. There is minor usage wear typical from a machine of this time period as seen in our photos. All nickel plated metal parts are in very beautiful condition and have been polished to shine and show off their beautiful patterns! Just look at that gorgeous front plate!
Base not included. See our other listings for stock and Bentwood Cases.
All of our sewing machines have been cleaned, oiled and tested prior to listing.
