Description
Antique Vintage Singer Sewing MachineModel 27
In very good condition. Sews beautifully.
Serial number G710503 was one of 50000
made on September 15, 1910. It's a model 27.
This is full size locking stitch machine.
The motor brushes look new. I oiled the moving parts.
This is my first machine with a "bullet" type
bobbin. I watched a "utube" for threading instructions.
The top and reverse side stitches are in good
adjustment. See photo of stitches.
Winding the bobbin thread incorrectly will jam
the thread and not sew. Comes with one original bobbin.
The foot tension can be adjusted for fine or thick fabric.
Simply turn the adjustment screw at the top of the foot.
The electric cord is in good condition.
There is a knee control that fits into the case bottom.
The decals are LaVincendora.
All are original except the ones on the base.
They were worn completely off with use.
The new decals were made in Great Britain.
Once applied, a clear coat was added to protect them.
A canoba type wax may be applied also.
This machine is all metal, solid and heavy.
Great vintage machine for all sewing projects.
Included is the original bentwood case with a beautiful
"Victorian" type decal on the front. (see photo)
There is a lock that works smoothly.
Key included.(see photo)
Also case has inside clips to store the knee control.
(see photo)
This makes a wonderful machine to display and
the bonus is that it sews beautifully.
From my personal collection. Non-smoking household.
